Internal Committees

The story of Associa-Med’s internal committees is the story of our association’s growth. It all started with a single, crucial project: the medical students’ graduation ball. As the organization expanded, so did our projects, and we eventually needed a better way to manage them.
In 1991, while our affiliation with the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) led to the creation of Standing committees, we never forgot our local roots. We established internal committees to ensure our members had a well-rounded experience that went beyond the white coat. These committees focus on the cultural, social, and personal development that makes us more than just medical students.
Our initial internal committees included: Culture, Sport, Festivities, Travels and Excursions. Over time, we merged the Festivities and Travels and Excursions committees to form the Loisirs committee.
More recently, the Marketing and Communication (MC) committee was formed. This vital team supports both our internal and external committees by promoting our activities and strengthening the association’s image across social media.
Today, these committees, Culture, Sport, Loisirs, and MC, are the heart of Associa-Med, providing our members with opportunities to grow, connect, and thrive in all aspects of their lives.
The Loisirs Committee focuses on providing students with leisure and recreational activities that offer relaxation and enjoyment outside of academics. It aims to create opportunities for students to unwind, socialize, and have fun, enhancing their overall university experience and promoting a balanced lifestyle.
