HISTORY

Associa-Med is a student-run non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in 1989 at the Faculty of Medicine in Tunis. It achieved full membership in the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) in 1999.

Inspired by the spirit of unity and collaboration following our country’s revolution, an ambitious project was initiated in 2011 to make Associa-Med more active on a national scale.

IFMSA

The International Federation of Medical Students Associations (IFMSA), founded in 1951, is one of the world’s oldest and largest student-run organisations. It represents, connects and engages every day with an inspiring and engaging network of 1.3 million medical students from 139 national members organizations in 130 countries around the globe.

Leadership

The Administrative Council of Associa-Med, established in 2011, comprises the National Board and the presidents of the four Local Committees.
Serving as the governing body, it orchestrates the organization’s strategic direction, oversees operations, and fosters collaboration among its members.
This unified leadership structure ensures cohesive decision-making and effective implementation of Associa-Med’s mission across national and local levels.
