Raising Awareness for Colorectal Cancer
“La Marche Bleue”, a collaborative project by the SCOPH committee and the Ministry of Health, successfully raised public awareness for colorectal cancer. The engaged march took place on Saturday, March 2, 2024, in Menzeh 1, bringing together the community for this vital cause.
The campaign’s core message focused on the critical importance of early screening for colorectal cancer, a disease that is the second most common among women and the third among men. Statistics show that when detected early, the cancer can be successfully treated in nearly nine out of ten cases. The initiative promoted the recommended screening practice of getting tested every two years for individuals between the ages of 50 and 74.
